A three-day ‘Manthan 2022’ centered on introspection of engineers and employees of all power companies of Madhya Pradesh government will be organized in Jabalpur from May 5 to 7.
Manthan-2022 will be inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar on May 5.
Tomar will also interact with the field staff during the event.
Principal Secretary (Energy) Sanjay Dubey, and MP Power Management Company Managing Director Vivek Porwal, the managing directors of power companies and experts of power sector from across the country will also attend.
The chief engineers of the state’s six power companies, will participate. Madhya Pradesh East Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company has been made the nodal agency to organize ‘Manthan-2022’, state owned MP Power Management Company Ltd. public relations officer Pankaj Swamy said.
‘Manthan-2022’ is with the start of the new financial year will provide a unique opportunity to state’s technocrats to introspect and learn from experts in the field about the best practices adopted globally in the energy sector.
The event will provide an opportunity to discuss and interact with each other on how to deal with the situations hindering the successful transformation of the energy sector.
The objective of organizing ‘Manthan-2022’ is to focus on creating energy transition or transformation strategy and achieving financial stability.
For three days, the engineers and personnel of the state’s power companies will contemplate on issues like ‘what can be achieved’ by learning from energy experts, academics and practitioners and on their own during ‘introspection’.
The objective is to minimize losses and reduce consumer complaints.
The experts from the country’s power sector will give their presentations.
Union Power Ministry secretary Alok Kumar, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Director and former MD of Tripura Discom M.S. Kale, NTPC AGM B. B. Padhi, World Bank official Surabhi Goyal, Power System Operation Corporation executive director V. Balaji, Power Grid Corporation of India DGM CP Awasthi, CESC Kolkata official Shantanu Sen, India Smart Grid Forum and Global Smart Grid Federation Chairman Reji Pillai will give presentations on electrical topics in different sessions.
Sports and cultural events will also take place – cricket, badminton, table tennis, billiard, chess matches will be held during ‘Manthan-2022’. Under the cultural activity, inter-electric company singing, dancing and skit competitions will be organized.
