Mumbai A 65-year-elderly person was on Sunday captured with a kilo of heroin worth ₹3 crore by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai police wrongdoing branch.
The charged, Pyare Amanulla Khan, is a local of the Pratapgarh region in Rajasthan and came to the city to convey the stash to a medication provider.

Khan is a habitual perpetrator as the ANC had recently enlisted a body of evidence against him in 2013 for ownership of 500 grams of heroin.

“He put in a couple of months in prison and in the wake of being delivered, he went to his local spot and began conveying the stash to Mumbai once more,” said police auditor Rajendra Dahifale of the Azad Maidan ANC unit.

Moreover, Khan is needed in a heroin seizure case enrolled by the Worli unit in October 202, added Dahifale.

Delegate chief of police (ANC), Datta Nalawade, said that Khan was among the significant providers of heroin in Mumbai from Rajasthan.
“We got explicit data about another transfer coming to the city. Likewise, the group laid a snare in Borivali. When he got off the transport, we captured him. During the inquiry we found one kg heroin,” Nalawade said.

The charged was created in court and has been remanded to police authority till January 19.

“We have captured 14 individuals in heroin seizure cases since June 2021 and held onto stash worth ₹44 crore. Six individuals out of 14 are from Rajasthan,” Nalawade added.

“In Mumbai heroin is primarily provided from three locale – Pratapgarh and Jhalawar from Rajasthan and Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh. We have observed the rundown of all significant providers of heroin in the city after we captured two people Hakim Gul Khan and Jeevanlal Bherulal Mida in October. We had held onto 5 kg of heroin worth ₹15 crore from them. The two of them are inhabitants of Rajasthan,” added Nalawade.
