Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated Rahgiri Anandotsav with great zeal on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
The Chief Minister encouraged the participants of all ages to actively participate in ancient games and cultural programmes related to Indian Heritage.
Dr. Yadav said that the country striving towards development.
The government is tirelessly working to ensure everyone’s welfare, he said.
He said to keep the dignity of the poor intact. Festival lovers from all walks of life participated in the Raahgiri.
Dr Yadav extended hearty to everyone on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and prayed for everyone’s happiness, prosperity and health. CM Dr. Yadav said that festivals have scientific and mythological significance.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has created a distinct identity of the country on world-stage.
He said that with effective leadership a nation undoubtedly progresses forward.
This event was organised with the co-operation of District Administration, Municipal Corporation, Ujjain Development Authority along with government departments and social organisations.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was warmly welcomed by the organisers of various stalls set-up on both sides of the road from Tarantal intersection to Kothi as well as festival enthusiast.
Mantra chanting by Sanskar Bharti, Club members including president of Press Club, the festival loving citizens of the city enjoyed various types of joyous festive activities with the setting-up of stalls of Body Building, Phaguni Art, Food Zone, Madhav Club, Dance Pratibha, Carpet Miscellaneous Activity, Dugdhpan, Cycle Club, Fly Fitness, Ujjain Chaupal, Stanford School Geet Musical Academy, Sodhani Pathology Lab, Pratikalpa Pallavi Kishan, Sports Zone, Ninad Sarvottam Dang, Sangeet Vikram Vatika Parivar, Vaishya Mahapanchayat, Anand Department, free kite distribution etc.

In Raahgiri, activities of ancient games related to the festive Indian culture were conducted for people from all walks of life.
Passersby relished Poha-Jalebi and various food items through the food zone in Raahgiri.
In Raahgiri Anandotsav youth, elderly people, women etc. of the city participated with great enthusiasm.
This was organised for the healthy entertainment of the people of the city.
