The Madkheda Hydroelectric Power Station of state owned Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited has generated 166.30 million units of power in current financial year as on March 9.
The hydel station has installed capacity of 60 MW has created history by generating this much of power since inception.
It is worth mentioning that after the establishment of the hydropower station, it is also the record for the highest production ever.
In the financial year 2011-12, 165.86 million units of electricity was generated by the Madikheda Hydro Power Station.
The hydro power station is built on river Kali Sindh in Madikheda of Shivpuri district. This station has three power generating units of 20 megawatt each.
The first unit became operational on August 28, 2006, second unit on September 9, 2006 and third unit on August 19, 2007.
In the annual function of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company, Madikheda Hydro Power House has received the award for the best hydro power house in the year 2020 – 2021.
Madhya Pradesh’s Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Principal Secretary Energy Sanjay Dubey and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Manjit Singh has expressed happiness over making a record by Madikheda Hydro Power Station and greeted all the engineers and employees of the station.
