Madhya Pradesh has won a total of 10 medals with four gold, three silver and three bronze medals in the Khelo India Youth Games being played in Panchkula, Haryana on Tuesday. Till now Madhya Pradesh has 13 medals in its account.
MP Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Yashodhara Raje Scindia has congratulated the medal winning players of Madhya Pradesh.
In Athletics, Arjun Bhaskar of Madhya Pradesh State Athletic Academy won the gold medal in the 1500 meters race with a timing of 3.51.57.
In the same match, Ritesh Ohre of the academy won the silver medal with a timing of 3.52.26.
Vivek Kumar of Madhya Pradesh has won Gold Medal in Javelin Throw and Himanshu Mishra has won Silver Medal. Sandeep Kumar of Madhya Pradesh has won bronze medal in pole vault.
Ajay Babu did 81 kg in Khelo India Games of Madhya Pradesh won gold medal in the category.
In wrestling, the daughters of Madhya Pradesh Academy won gold and bronze medals. Priyanshi Prajapat of Madhya Pradesh State Wrestling Academy did 49 kg won gold and Madhuri Patel have earned bronze medal in the category.
Aurangzeb of Madhya Pradesh won silver medal in wrestling itself. Madhya Pradesh’s Dipesh Lashkari has won bronze medal in Gymnastics at India Youth Games.
She said that the players of Madhya Pradesh are making us proud by performing well in the Khelo India Games. She wished all the players all the best for their better performance.
It is noteworthy that about 172 players from Madhya Pradesh are participating in the Khelo India Youth Games being played in Panchkula, Haryana from June 4 to June 13.
The sportspersons from MP will participate in various games including Archery, Athletics, Boxing, Gymnastics, Cycling, Gatka, Handball, Judo, Malkhamb, Shooting, Swimming, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Thang Tha, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Yoga.
