A contract has been signed to export 200 tonnes of Mahua to London at the rate of Rs 110 per kg. this contract at the end of last year
In 9th International Forest Fair, London with the Indian unit of M/S O-Forest, Madhuvanya.

State Minor Forest Produce Federation Managing Director Pushkar Singh told that three times the profit would be obtained separately from Mahua. As per the contract the supply of mahua will be done in year 2023.

For this, agreement is being singed with the district unions of Umaria, Alirajpur, Narmadapuram, Sehore, Sidhi and Khandwa districts.

Last year 18 quintals of food grade Mahua was exported to London (UK) by the Saheli Van Dhan Vikas Kendra of Narmadapuram district.

It is notable that the minimum support price of Mahua in the forest division is Rs 35 per kg.

Due to this initiative the small forest produce Mahua that is Rs 35 per kg will be exported at the rate of Rs 110 per kg.
