Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed that Madhya Pradesh’s Foundation Day is a moment of immense pride and honor.
He encouraged the well-off segments of society to help bring joy into the lives of those in need during the state’s 69th Foundation Day celebrations, which coincide with Diwali this year.
He urged citizens to contribute by providing fruits, sweets, and crackers within their means to construction workers, hospitalized patients, and other vulnerable groups.
Additionally, he called on government officials, business leaders, industrialists and private sector institutions to engage in social initiatives during this unique occasion.
With Diwali and Foundation Day aligning, Dr. Yadav highlighted it as a time of double celebration, inviting everyone to create an atmosphere of shared joy across the state.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was discussing the outline of the four-day programme to be organized from November 1, the foundation day of the state, at Samatva Bhawan in Chief Minister’s residence on Friday.
According to the decision taken in the meeting, the 69th Foundation Day of the state will be celebrated with joy and enthusiasm.
Band performance and other programmes will be organized by the Indian Army in a special programme on October 30 at Lal Parade in Bhopal. An exhibition will also be organized.
Public places will be cleaned. On the occasion of Foundation Day, government buildings will also be decorated with lights in the evening.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized the importance of conducting acts of service in underprivileged communities.
He highlighted the need to make special arrangements for sweets and firecrackers for the children of construction workers in celebration of the festival.
He called on district collectors and public representatives to take the lead in these service initiatives.
Additionally, he encouraged the sale and distribution of products crafted by women from self-help groups, as well as goods made by local artisans specializing in clay, wood, and other crafts, with the support of social organizations.
Service projects should also be organized at the district level to mark the occasion of Diwali.
Outline of Foundation Day programmes
It was informed in the meeting that preparations are being made for the Madhya Pradesh anthem, army band performance and air show at Lal Parade Ground.
A development exhibition will also be organized. This exhibition will be held on 30th and 31st October.
In view of the festival of Diwali, citizens will be able to see the exhibition on both days as per their convenience.
On the foundation day of the state, an ensemble dance-drama will be presented by the Culture Department under Amrit Madhya Pradesh on November 1.
This presentation will be based on the cultural and regional specialties of the state. The importance of numerous holy places will also be displayed in the play.
Chandramadhav Barik, conferred with Shikhar Samman, has directed this dance drama. 108 artists will participate in the presentation.
The programme is being planned on the theme of Maheshwar Ghat dedicated to Lokmata Ahilya Devi.
Singer and musician Ankit Tiwari will present the programme under Sugam Sangeet.
Tiwari, who composed the music for the project Khoob Ladi Mardaani based on Veerangana Rani Laxmibai, has also given music in many Hindi films.
Along with the cultural evening at Rabindra Bhawan, Prabhat Feri will be organized by Jan Abhiyan Parishad on 1st November.
Sports and Youth Welfare, Women and Child Development, Panchayat and Urban Administration departments will organize activities related to cleanliness, decoration and Rangoli.
Historical monuments and statues of great men will be cleaned and beautified in the markets. 69 lamps will be lit at important places.
Various activities will be conducted in Bhopal as well as in the districts as per the local conditions.
Govardhan Puja programmes will be held on the occasion of Foundation Day
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that according to the ancient tradition of India, Govardhan Puja is performed on the second day of Diwali. Govardhan Puja can be performed at the individual level as well as at the institutional level.
Coincidentally, Diwali and Govardhan Puja are falling on the foundation day of the state. Gau pujan programmes will be organized in various gaushalas with the cooperation of citizens and public representatives.
Administrative staff should remain active in the Govardhan Puja programmes. The programmes should be organized in a dignified manner.
