Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday said Madhya Pradesh has received the honor of ‘Most Film Friendly State’ award at the 68th National Film Awards for year 2020.

He greeted the citizens, #TeamMP and members film industry for the award.

This truly resonates with our persistent efforts in expanding multifaceted development in the State, he said.

Chouhan said the state is rich in the natural beauty and historical heritage is always eager to welcome you (film makers).

Madhya Pradesh – Film Shooting Destination has certainly grown and gained popularity through the years.

The land of Khajuraho and Sanchi, the jungles of Kanha and Bandhavgarh, the Forts & monuments of Gwalior, Orchha and Mandu, the Culture of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior offers film makers the most diverse Film making experiences.

Various Bollywood films from Dilip Kumar’s AAN (1952) to most recently shot films like Bhumi Pednekar’s Durgamati (2020) Vidya Balan’s Sherni (2021), all were shot at the most exquisite locations in Madhya Pradesh.

TheFilm Facilitation Cell Madhya Pradesh (FFCMP) is a step towards streamlining the filming permission process in the state of Madhya Pradesh, according to the official website of MP Tourism.

Film cell focuses on integrating the process followed by multiple state and central government departments and offer a single portal for film shooting permission. FFCMP is a robust online system catering to individuals and production houses to obtain film shooting permission across the state.

Department of Tourism, Government of Madhya Pradesh has framed Film Policy 2020 (vide Order no. F-01/17/2019/33 dated 02/03/2020) & nominated Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board as nodal agency for executing the policy to facilitate film shooting permissions in the state.

The objective is to provide single-window facilitation and clearance mechanism interface for the film producers to streamline the current process and provide film shooting permissions within 15 calendar days that will ease out the shooting process in Madhya Pradesh.

These permissions will cover feature film, commercials, TV serials, travelogues, web series, documentaries, short films, music album, corporate films, etc. to be shot in locations, area and facilities owned by the State Government departments.
