The Madhya Pradesh Government is set to host the “Madhya Pradesh Mining Conclave-2024” on October 17th and 18th at the Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Centre in Bhopal.

This two-day conclave aims to drive investment in the mining sector and promote efficient utilization of the state’s mineral resources by adopting modern technologies.

Through a focus on technological advancements and sustainable investment, the conclave seeks to elevate the mining potential of Madhya Pradesh to new heights.

Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain will deliver the keynote address at the conclave and will inaugurate an exhibition based on the mineral resources of Madhya Pradesh.

In the initial session, There will be presentations on mineral resources, investment opportunities, prospects of petroleum and hydrocarbon sector.

This will be followed by technical sessions with discussions on mining safety, smart technology, digitalization, use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Drone technology and digital solutions for mines will also be discussed by the experts.

The strategic sessions will discuss topics like coal, energy, limestone, the cement industry, mineral-beneficiation and M-Sand.

In the initial session, the Principal Secretary, Mineral Resources Department, Shri Sanjay Kumar Shukla will deliver the inaugural address on ‘Madhya Pradesh Mining Conclave 2024’.

Principal Secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department, Raghavendra Kumar Singh will give a presentation on investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, Director General of Hydrocarbons, Government of India, will discuss the prospects of the petroleum and hydrocarbon sector.

Rajib Maitra, Partner, Deloitte will give his presentation on the utilization of mineral potential in Madhya Pradesh.

In the technical sessions, Vikram Kevai from IIT Hyderabad will discuss smart technology and mine safety.

The use of digitalization, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) in the mining sector will be discussed.

There will be important presentations from experts on drone technology, remote monitoring, opportunities for start-ups in mining technology, and digital solutions for opencast and underground mines.

Under the strategic and technical sessions, there will be detailed discussions on important topics like Coal and Energy, Limestone and Cement Industry, Mineral Beneficiation, and M-Sand and Ready-Mix Concrete.

Information will also be provided on government initiatives and important mineral exploration scenarios in India.

The prospects and challenges of the energy and hydrocarbon sector will be discussed. Efforts will be made to promote opportunities in the area through buyer-seller meets.
