Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the entire Madhya Pradesh is fast changing today. Rapid development and public welfare works are being undertaken in the state. The per capita income of the state, which was earlier Rs 11 thousand, has now increased to Rs one lakh 40 thousand. A network of roads has been laid across the state. The work of providing irrigation water to every farm and tap water to every house is in progress. Power supply is regular. Madhya Pradesh is ahead in all parameters of development.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing a huge gathering in Bayan village of Sehore district today during Vikas Parv. The Chief Minister performed bhoomi-pujan/dedicated development works worth Rs 25 crore 98 lakh including bhoomi-pujan worth Rs 25 crore 32 lakh 84 thousand and dedication of Rs 65 lakh 64 thousand. He also distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of various schemes. Earlier kanya pujan was performed.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Ladli Bahna is the most important scheme of my life. I saw discrimination against daughters since childhood and resolved that I will eradicate it. Continuous work is being done to honour and empower women in the state. After schemes like Ladli Lakshmi, Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah/Nikah, 50 percent reservation in Panchayats, Sambal, Ladli Bahna Yojana has been formulated. This scheme will bring honour to the women in the society and will boost their self-confidence. About Rs 15 thousand crore will be spent on this scheme in a year. In the coming time, its amount will be increased to Rs.3000. To empower women, they are being associated with self-help groups and efforts are being made to hike their income at least Rs. 10,000 per month.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that since childhood I used to visit Bayan. I have visited almost all the houses in the village. I still miss Bayan ki dal and Gud Patti. Today I will go after eating the dal here. He also made several announcements for the renovation of Bayan government school and development of the area. Chief Minister Chouhan said that a grand Devi templis being built in Salkanpur, where people from all over the world will come to visit. A medical college is being built in Budhni at a cost of Rs 750 crores. Four-lane work is also being done in Bayan, which has been declared a national highway.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that children should study a lot and move forward. I will let nothing hinder their education. For this every bit of assistance is being provided to the students. A laptop is being given for securing 75 percent marks in class XII, a cycle is given for students from 5 to 6 and 8 to 9 to go to other villages and now one boy and one girl topper in class XII will be given a scooty. The government is also getting the fees for higher education covered under the Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that wide opportunities of employment and self-employment are being provided in the state. Recruitment is going on for one lakh government posts and will continue for 50 thousand other posts. Under the Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, the government provides loan and interest subsidy on its guarantee for self-employment. 12th pass or ITI students are also given an honorarium of Rs. 8000 per month alongwith training in Seekho-Kamao Yojana.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the old government had stopped many public welfare schemes. Schemes like Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah, Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan, Sambal were discontinued. Our government has restarted them. Now elders are being taken on pilgrimage by flight.
