The unit number 11 of 250 MW capacity of Satpura Thermal Power Station Sarni, of the state owned Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company has set a new record of generating power continuously for 200 days amidst all the adverse circumstances including hot atmospheric condition.
This unit is generating uninterrupted power from 30 October 2021 till now, MP Power Management Company public relations officer Pankaj Swamy said.
The Plant Availability Factor (PAF) of the unit was cent percent, Plant Load Factor (PLF) was 91.9 percent, auxiliary consumption was 7.9 percent, specific coal consumption was 0.63 kg per unit and specific oil consumption was 0.02 ml per unit, he said.
It may be mentioned that this unit of Satpura Thermal Power Station Sarni became functional on 16 March 2014.
Madhya Pradesh Minister for Power Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Principal Secretary Energy Sanjay Dubey and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Manjit Singh has acknowledged the efforts of the engineers and employees for continuous power generation for 200 days in the unit 11 of Satpura Thermal Power Station Sarni. The minister said all is possible due to collective efforts, dedication. He hoped in future too Sarni Thermal Power Station will move towards setting new records of power generation.
