MADHYA PRADESH VACCINATION DRIVE:
~Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday administered 11.17 lakh Covid-19 vaccinations, after hitting the highest mark of 17 lakh on Monday, on the first day of the new vaccination program.
~The second-highest mark of over 11 lakh came after vaccinations slumped to a mere 5000 doses on Tuesday.
~Congress has criticized the state government after Madhya Pradesh created a record in the country by vaccinating 17 lakh people.
~The party has, however, been caught in its own trap. The Congress leaders alleged that fewer people had been jabbed a day before and after the mega vaccination drive.
~Rajya Sabha MP, Jairam Ramesh, former chief ministers Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh made the allegation against the government through a few tweets.
~Their tweets turned out to be a laughing stock when it came to light that people are not vaccinated on Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday. A few people are jabbed on these days in some private hospitals and in some government health centers, but anti-corona vials are not given.
~Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Congress celebrated every death and that the government did not launch the vaccination drive, but it was a peopleís movement.
~Medical education minister Vishwash Sarang told in a press conference that people were generally vaccinated on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. These four days have been fixed for vaccinating people since the beginning of the drive, he added.
