In the hackathon organized by the MSME department and AKTU, students have given some such ideas. The ideas of these students have been selected for the final round. On May 27, the students will present their ideas in front of the officials of MSME and AKTU.
Online Hackathon on Chikankari and Zari-Zardozi of Lucknow is being organized by AKTU’s Center for Advanced Studies and MSME Department under the “Ek Janpad Ek Utpaad” scheme. Regarding this, students of institutions affiliated with AKTU have sent 78 ideas to AKTU. An MoU has been signed between MSME Department and AKTU to connect and promote ODOP products of UP with technology and management. Under this MoU, an online hackathon is going to be organized on 27th May.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Vinay Kumar Pathak said that the corona epidemic has affected the studies of students along with public life. In such a situation, such competitions will go a long way in furthering the positive thinking of the students. Hackathon coordinator Dr. Anuj Sharma said that the ideas of the students are divided into three parts branding, technology, and management.
In these categories, two in branding, five in marketing, six in manufacturing and five ideas in design have been selected. Especially the students are interested in better manufacturing and marketing of the traditional product, so that this traditional product can be given a new identity.
He said that some students have sent a proposal that chikankari is used only on clothes worn, By changing their design, they can also be used in the decoration of walls and roofs. At the same time, some students propose that the cloth used in chikankari have are very common colors In this case, chikankari should be done in new colors.
