Amid continuously increasing graph of new covid19 infections in the country, Shivraj Singh Chouhan Government in Madhya Pradesh has decided to impose 1-day lockdown in three cities of Indore, Jabalpur, And the state Capital of Bhopal. from Saturday Night to 6 am Monday morning. Meanwhile, all the schools and colleges of the state have been ordered to remain closed till 31st march.
With 1,140 new Covid-19 disease cases and seven associated deaths on Friday, the state saw its largest single-day spike of 2021, bringing the total caseload and death toll to 2,73,097 and 3,901, respectively. The figures released on Friday were also the largest since late December of last year. An official told PTI that Indore had the most cases (309), followed by Bhopal (272), with one death each in Bhopal, Gwalior, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Khandwa, Shajapur, and Umaria. He said that so far in the state, there have been 2,62,587 recoveries, and more than 60.92 lakh individuals have been checked.
