CBI has filed charge sheet against 34 people, including former Chief Minister of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, former Principal Secretary, for the Manesar land scam case in the Special Court of Haryana Panchkula. It is alleged that about 459 acres of land was purchased from the farmers in collusion with the government officials for just Rs 100 crore. At that time the price of land was more than Rs 4 crore per acre.
The sources says that in addition to former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the officials who have been included in the chargesheet include Murli Lal Tail former IAS, Chhatar Singh IAS former PS, Chief Minister, Sudeep Singh Dhillon IAS Director Town. Apart from these, Jaswant Singh former Town Planner, Atul Bansal director ABW Infrastructure, Anil Batra Director M / s Kanway Developers and many builder companies and their office bearers are included.
In the investigation, the CBI found that with the collusion of the former chief minister, officials and builders, farmers of Manesar, Naurangpur and Lucknow villages of Gurugramam were bought at very cheap rate from the farmers, resulting in a loss of Rs.1500 crores. Farmers had a fear that their land is taken over by the government. Not only this, the threats were given to farmers not to give land.
Builders of Haryana and Delhi conspired with the officials and purchased them from their land builders at extremely low prices between August 27, 2004 and August 24, 2007. During this process the government issued a notification and said that industrial township is being brought there.
