A unique court of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Ranchi on Monday condemned Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) pioneer Lalu Prasad Yadav to five years’ detainment and forced ₹60 Lakh fine on him in the ₹139-crore grub trick case.
The RJD supremo was indicted for the situation on February 15 and quantum of discipline was planned to be given out today. Yadav has been seen as at legitimate fault for unlawful withdrawals to the tune of ₹139.35 crore from the Doranda depository by the CBI court.
The feeble 73-year-old veteran lawmaker, who was moved to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi, from Hotwar prison following the conviction last week, was prior condemned to 14 years in prison in four different cases connected with Dumka, Deoghar and Chaibasa depositories in Jharkhand.

Yadav’s attorney had said the senior chief would go to Monday’s hearing through videoconferencing. He was available at the court last Tuesday when the decision was had given its decision.
A sum of 170 individuals had been named as blamed in the Doranda depository trick case. Of these, 55 have passed on, seven have become government witnesses, six are slipping away and two acknowledged the charges against them. Among the excess 99 blamed, including Yadav, the CBI court had given its decision last week.
