Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan restarted the ‘Maa Tujhe Pranam Yojana’, as the scheme was discontinued due to the pandemic.
The scheme is aimed to instill the spirit of patriotism and courage in the youth by sending them on journeys to the country’s borders. The scheme is being restarted by sending a batch of 178 girls – Ladli Laxmis of Madhya Pradesh to the Wagah and Hussainiwala borders of Punjab, also the girls will visit Jallianwala Bagh and Golden Temple.
The journey which has started with daughters being sent to the border, will prove to be fruitful in creating a spirit of dedication for the country and instill confidence in the youth, he said.
He said the daughters should contribute to the society and country’s development and progress.
He was addressing the Ladli Laxmis after restarting the scheme in Bhopal on Monday.
Chouhan handed over the national flag and mementoes to be presented to the brave soldiers posted on the border to the team in-charge leading the group of Ladli Laxmi’s.
He announced Ladli Laxmi Day will be celebrated in every village and city on May 8.
Chouhan said 43 lakh daughters have been benefitted so far from Ladli Laxmi Yojna started in the state since 2007.
The girls shared a common view said “We are the dear daughters of Mama Shivraj”.
A group member Himanshi Jha resident of Shivpuri said if our name had not been there in Ladli Laxmi Yojana, we would not have been here today. we are dear daughters of Mama Shivraj, we will learn new things by going to the border and traveling to new places to know how our soldiers are deployed in the defense of the country on the border”.
Radha Nanda, a class 10 student of Dindori, says “we had never ever thought that we would be able to go to the Wagah border. Our Shivraj mama not only cares about our studies but is working to strengthen the spirit of patriotism and courage by creating self-confidence in us. In this sequence, we have also been given an opportunity to go to Wagah border through Maa Tujhe Pranam Yojana”.
Amrita Pawar of Bhopal said “the daughters of Madhya Pradesh are fortunate that the chief minister is our Mama. We are very happy that Mama ji has given us a chance to see the border of the country. We will get a chance to meet the soldiers who defend the country at the Wagah border”.
Sapna Choudhary of Seoni said “we are feeling very proud that we Ladli Laxmis will go to the border of the country and apply tilak with the soil of our village on the soldiers who are deployed to protect us every moment”.
Priyanshi Patel of Khandwa says “she is very happy to be associated with ‘Maa Tujhe Pranam’ scheme. I thank my Shivraj Mamaji, who gives us love and affection”.
After the restart of the scheme, 20 Ladli Laxmis from Bhopal division, 31 from Indore division, 15 from Gwalior, 26 from Ujjain, 11 from Narmadapuram, 15 from Shahdol, 12 from Rewa, 9 from Chambal, 26 from Sagar, and 31 Ladli Laxmis from Jabalpur division will visit Wagah border. They will be accompanied by 12 officers of Sports department and 6 police constables.
