Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that felicitating mothers, sisters and daughters is the commencement of a social revolution. If the mothers and sisters are empowered then the family will be empowered which will lead to an empowered state and subsequently to an empowered country.
Chief Minister Chouhan participated in the programme for the disbursal of Mukhyamantri Awasiya Bhu-adhikar letters, benefits of public welfare schemes, bhoomi-pujan and dedication of development works during the Vikas Yatra at Lahiya village of Churhat in Sidhi district on Friday.
CM Chouhan said that the Prime Minister has given a boost to the country’s development and country’s prestige. Our mothers and sisters are Matri Shakti (mother power), we should respect them and empower them by giving them their rights. CM Chouhan called upon the sisters to form “Laadli Bahna Sena” and contribute in getting the sisters registered for their rights and financial assistance given by the government for Ladli Laxmi Yojna-2 and Ladli Bahna Yojna.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that everyone has equal right on resources. No one can deprive the poor of their rights, this is Shiva resolution, which I will fulfill. Everyone in the state has the right to have land to live in, on which he can build a house according to his need. Pucca houses are being given under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Along with this, landless poor are being provided lease for housing. Free food grains are being distributed to all eligible families under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. Successful implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme is being done to give citizens the right to free treatment. The Chief Minister said that our aim is to empower women so that they can lead a life of self-respect. For this purpose, Ladli Laxmi Yojana-2 and Ladli Bahna Yojana have been started. 1000 rupees will be given per month to the eligible sister of Ladli Bahna Yojana. The Chief Minister said that the amount given under the old age pension scheme is being hiked to Rs.1000.
Matru Shakti Sammelan will be held on March 5
Chief Minister Chouhan said that there will be a Matrushakti Sammelan on coming March 5, in which people’s representatives, ASHA workers, Ladli Bahna Sena workers will organise camps at various places and help in registration of beneficiaries under Ladli Laxmi-2 and Ladli Bahna Yojana. The applications will be scrutinized in the month of April and the transfer of amount of the scheme to the accounts of all the beneficiaries will begin from the 10th of June. The Chief Minister said that everyone has the right to water. This work is conducted pacingly under the Jal Jeevan Mission. In the next 2 years, tap water will be available to everyone.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that now the state government will pay the interest of the loan taken by the defaulter farmers. Rs 5 thousand is being given every month to the parents of children orphaned during Covid for their education. Now all the orphan children of the state will get the benefit of this scheme.
On reaching the venue, Chief Minister Chouhan was accorded a traditional welcome with Shaila and Koldahka dance. The Chief Minister honoured the daughters by performing Kanya Pujan following which he dedicated and laid the foundation stone of construction works worth Rs 385 crore.
The Chief Minister said that Churhat region has remained deprived of development for 60 years but now development will take place here. Making several announcements for the development of the region, Chief Minister said that funds would be given in this budget for the construction of a 100-bed hospital in Rampur Naikin. The Chief Minister announced to raise the status of Madwas sub-tehsil to tehsil. Chief Minister Chouhan distributed residential pattas to the beneficiaries of the Mukhya Mantri Awasiya Bhu-Adhikar Yojana. In Sidhi district, more than 10,000 poor families have benefited from the scheme. Chief Minister instructed to construct the road from Tilwari to Janakpur and to restore traffic on the Jogdaha bridge over Sone river soon. Chief Minister Chouhan also distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes.
Member of Parliament Smt. Reeti Pathak welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for giving gifts of development to the area and for launching the Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana. MLA Churhat Shardendu Tiwari forwarded the demands related to the development of the area and informed about the objectives of Shivshakti Sankalp Yatra. He said that Rs 6 crore has been approved for the construction of road from Kholmai to Rewa.
Rajya Sabha member Ajay Pratap Singh, legislators, public representatives and a large number of citizens were present.
