Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the Ladli Bahana Yojana is a social revolution of its kind. The beneficiary Bahana getting Rs. 1000 per month is in fact an honour for them. The aim is to boost self-confidence of our Ladli Bahana and daughters, ensuring their respectful position within family and society.
The Chief Minister announced that Rs. 1000 monthly will be gradually increase to Rs. 3000 per month. He said that ensuring happiness is the foremost priority. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a special program will be organized on August 27 to have a dialogue with Ladli Bahana and gifts would be distributed.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the State-level Laadli Bahana Conference at Rewa here today. This state-level event was virtually attended by Ladli Bahana from gram panchayats and urban bodies. The members of the Laadli Bahana Sena presented a huge rakhi to Shri Chouhan. The Chief Minister was welcomed by the Ladli Bahana in a grand manner. Addressing them, Shri Chouhan said that women’s empowerment is the priority of state government. The Chief Minister transferred an amount of Rs. 1209 crore to the accounts of 1.25 crore ladli Bahana as third installment.
Under the Nutrition Grant Scheme, an amount of 18.16 crore rupees was transferred to the accounts of 1.81 lakh tribal women beneficiaries. Notably, under the Ladli Sister Scheme, an amount of more than 2419 crore rupees has been disbursed to the accounts of Ladli Bahana in the last two months. Similarly, women belonging to the Baiga, Bhariya, and Sahariya tribes have received an amount Rs. 1391 crore rupees.
The Chief Minister performed Bhumi Pujan and inaugurated development projects costing 161 crore 35 lakh. Shri Chouhan presented to Manisha Saket of the Lakshmi Self-Help Group and members of the group, a lift mixer machine, and centering business worth 5.56 lakh rupees. Under the Chief Minister Udyam Kranti Yojana, Sushri Manju Pandey received a 9 lakh rupee and Rs. 50,000 check for Puja Gupta of PM Swanidhi for her small business. Shri Sunil Patel received the key to a vehicle under the Chief Minister’s Yuva Annadoot Yojana.”
Development of the Vindhya Region At All Cost
The Chief Minister said that the state government has left no stone unturned for the development of the Vindhya region. Through various initiatives in electricity, roads, water, irrigation, and education, comprehensive development has been achieved. Responding to the people’s warm reception during his visit to Rewa, Shri Chouhan expressed his gratitude for the blessings.
Committed to Women’s Empowerment
The Chief Minister remarked that the revering the daughters has been a tradition in Indian society. Earlier, they were considered a burden in family’s future. Daughters were seen as a liability and were even subjected to infanticide. The State Government is committed to altering this scenario. The Ladli Lakshmi Yojana has been launched with the goal that every girl child become wealthy. The government ensured 50% reservation for women in Panchayat and urban body elections, teachers, reserved 30 % posts in police force.
For Women’s Self-Reliance
The Chief Minister introduced the Scheme as part of women’s empowerment efforts. The aim of providing Rs. 1000 to sisters is to allow them to spend money as per their needs and wish. This empowers them. They can fulfill their small requirements without depending on others. Following the launch of the scheme, several Laldali Bahana have used the money to pay their children’s fees, purchase clothing, books, and other items. Many are also utilizing the funds to start their own business ventures such as tea shops and tailoring businesses.
Creating History
The Chief Minister emphasized the need of working unitedly for improving the economic status of women. Ladli Bahana Sena is operative in every village and ward. They will safeguard the interests of sisters and daughters and will facilitate development processes, stop injustice against women.
Stringent punishment will be given to those who commit crimes against women. With an aim of creating a safe environment, liquor shops that operated alongside schools have been shut down. We are determined to ensure that income of every member reaches Rs. 10,000 per month. We are continuously working in this direction, and through SHGs we will script a new history.
Former Minister Rajendra Shukla acknowledged the Chief Minister’s significant contribution to the development of the Rewa region. The program was attended by former Minister Nagendra Singh.
The Chief Minister participated in Jan Darshan. He offered flowers on the statue of Swami Vivekananda at College Square Park and started Jan Darshan. Shri Chouhan greeted the Ladli Lakshmis, students, athletes, representatives of trade organizations, self-help group members, ex-servicemen, representatives of social and religious organizations, members of the Ladli Bahana Sena beneficiaries of various governmental schemes.
Chouhan was greeted by the Sarpanch Sangh, Rozgar Sahayak Sangh, Anganwadi workers, and athletes. He concluded the public viewing by offering flowers to the statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya at Aspatal Chauraha.
Development Projects Worth Rs. 161.35 Crore Inaugurated
Chief Minister Chouhan performed the groundbreaking ceremony for development projects and inaugurated completed projects costing Rs. 161.35 Crore. This included the construction of a new 30-bedded community health center building and 2 E/F/G type housing units each in Rhat and Reeva Development Blocks, establishment of 6 lecture halls at Madho Sadashivarao Degree College Reeva, increase in the capacity of PG seats for boys and girls at Shyam Shah Medical College, construction of the Coal Building, construction of additional district panchayat building, construction of the Gargan Tola road from Reeva Sirmori Main Road, construction of the Malihan Tola to Sagar Road from Sirmori Main Road, construction of the Hariharapur approach road from Reeva Mankahari Road, and development work on the Shradhanagar Karaiha Railway Station road.
Chouhan also inaugurated and initiated several projects, including restoration of Government Swami Vivekanand College, restoration of Madhav Sadashivar College in Rewa, restoration of Government Thakur Ranmat Singh College, restoration of Government Kanya PG College in Reeva, the construction of a 100-seat girls’ hostel at Utkrist Vidyalaya, 100-seat boys’ hostel at District-level Utkrist Vidyalaya, the increase in seats from 100 to 150 at Shyam Shah Medical Education College for PG and UG girls, construction of the Bhawara to Khamhariya Choban road, construction of NH-37 to Kanchanpur road, and inauguration of the Madi to Umarie road.
