Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that many activities are being conducted for the welfare of farmers by the state government. The Mohanpura-Kundalia irrigation system being dedicated in Rajgarh district will change the lives of the farmers of the area. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the preparations for the Kisan-Kalyan Mahakumbh to be held at Rajgarh on June 13 at his residence office. Rajgarh Collector and other officials attended the meeting.
It was informed that Chief Minister Chouhan and Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh will be specially present in the Mahakumbh. In the programme, about 1400 crores of Mukhyamantri Kisan-Kalyan Yojana and Rs. 2200 crores of farmers’ loan interest waiver will be transferred with a single click. Along with this, payment of claims worth Rs. 2900 crore will also be transferred to the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. During this Mohanpura-Kundalia pressurized pipe irrigation system will be dedicated. Inauguration of water supply scheme in 156 villages of Gorakhpura project of Jal Jeevan Mission and E-Lokarpan and bhoomi-pujan of works costing Rs. 40 crore in the district will also be done. In the programme, adhikar patras (rights letters) will be distributed to the beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Awasiya Bhu-adhikar Yojana (Chief Minister Residential Land Rights Scheme). Beneficiary sisters of Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana will also participate in the Mahakumbh. Along with Rajgarh, farmers of Guna, Bhopal, Raisen, Vidisha, Sehore, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur and Agar-Malwa will also participate.
Necessary instructions were given in the meeting regarding transport arrangements, meals-drinking water and seating arrangements. Farmers of the entire state will join the Mahakumbh virtually. Programmes will also be organised at the committee level in all the districts.
