Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that organizing Khelo India Youth Games in Madhya Pradesh will help in promoting sports culture in the state. Youth and students of all the districts of the state will be connected with the events to be held in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Mandla, Maheshwar and Balaghat. Special instructions have been issued to the collectors in this regard. Chief Minister Chouhan was seeking information about the preparations for the Khelo India Youth Games 2022 starting from January 30 in a meeting organized at Samatva Bhavan today. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Additional Chief Secretary Home Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary Smt. Deepti Gaur Mukherjee and other officers were present.
Chief Minister Chouhan will inaugurate the programme at Tatya Tope Stadium in Bhopal on January 30 at 7 pm. Union Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Anurag Thakur will be specially present in the programme. About 21 thousand people will participate in the inauguration. There will also be a presentation on the vision of Prime Minister Shri Modi towards sports on this occasion. Along with this, there will be a special presentation on Tricolour Light Show, Mahakal and Narmada River.
Har-Har Shambhu performance will be given by well-known artist Abhilipsa Panda while the Tandava Nritya will be performed the Nataraj Group. There will be dance and song presentation on the theme ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’ from different regions of the state. Renowned singers Shaan, Neeti Mohan and Bainidayal will present patriotic and sports based songs in the programme. Along with this, a programme will be presented on the theme of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam with the flags of G-20 countries and there will be grand fireworks.
