Four people, including police constable Jayaraj Thakur (45), died in a fierce collision between Eicher and the dumper on the highway in front of the Ramangara water plant at around 10.15 pm on Friday. The condition of a person is said to be critical, who has been admitted to the Medical College Hospital. The collision between the two vehicles was so severe that they left the road and fell into a 20 feet deep ditch.
It is said that during the collision, the motorcycle-bound constable came under the grip of both the heavy vehicles and went into the ditch along with the vehicle. Severe injuries were found on his entire body, making identification difficult. The bodies of the dead have been kept in the mortuary of the Medical College Hospital. The constable who lost his life was returning home on his motorcycle after doing duty at the mineral barrier located nearby from the scene.
The other two people who lost their lives have been identified while the fourth one’s identity is still a question. All the officials including the Additional Superintendent of Police Shivesh Singh Baghel arrived at the scene as soon as the accident was reported. Police have called a crane on the spot due to the fear that no one is pressed under both heavy vehicles. The police have decided to rescue at night. Where this accident happened, such incidents have also come to light before.
Vehicles were going towards Sihora:
In connection with the incident, Additional Superintendent of Police Baghel told that Eicher loaded with lentils and full of other cereals were going towards Sihora on the highway. The police constable was also going on the same side by motorcycle. Along with this was Mannu Patel, a resident of the Tilwara region. Eicher and dumber collided in the case of overtaking at the scene. The constable was riding the motorcycle from the side of both the vehicles. After the collision vehicles fell off the road and entered the ditch, they also caught the constable with them.

The injured person and the deceased were rushed to medical treatment. Where a large number of police officers arrived. It is said that Jairaj Thakur, a resident of Gadda and constable posted in the police line, Ram Singh, a resident of Mudia village, Sihora, Tilwara area resident Manu Patel and another unknown person died on the spot. Here, Superintendent of Police Siddharth Bahuguna said that instructions have been given to investigate the accident.
