Manu Bhakar, this hard working and talented girl lives in Dadri, Haryana. She has won gold in 10 meter air pistol in ISSF World Cup in Mexico. Earlier, Manu has illuminated the country’s name by winning the silver medal in the 10 meter air pistol in the Asian Championship held in Japan in December.
Manu, who started shooting just two years ago, had made two national records last year. The special thing is that Manu used to do boxing first. In an interview she herself had said, “Before shooting I used to do boxing and Thang ta (Manipuri martial arts). I used to play such games because I wanted to defeat my opponents. After getting her eye injured in boxing, her mother had forbidden her to play boxing.
