New Delhi: The first conference of the International Solar Coalition (ISA) has today (March 11) at Rashtrapati Bhavan. It was started by French President Immanuel Macroon. In this event Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in the presence of representatives of 121 countries including 23 heads of state, that we want to bring solar revolution all over the world. He also said that India wants to produce 100 gigawatt of solar power. It is considered a major initiative in the use of solar energy in the world. This conference is believed to be important for promoting clean and use of solar energy.
Big bankers are also present
In this first installment conference of ISA, many big bankers of the country and abroad also have participated. Among these bankers are the president of European Investment Bank Werner Hoyer, President of BRICS Development Bank KV Kamath, Energy and Natural Resources, Managing Director of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Nandita Prasad, Asian Development Bank’s Vice President Benbang Susantono. Apart from them, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Gabon, Seychelles, Ghana, Rwanda, Fiji, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are also participating in this event.
India’s many projects will get approvals
India wants to involve in its own technologies and capabilities in the big projects running around the world. India is moving forward on this side. Conversations are also going on with several countries by India. Many countries are also interested in using India’s technology and capabilities. These include Tanzania, Togo, Benin, Congo, Chad and Seychelles. This establishment conference can talk about 24 such projects in India in about 14 countries.
India ready to help African countries!
Most of the countries involved in the International Solar Coalition are from Africa. These countries are poor and backward. India has decided to spend two billion dollars for the implementation of clean energy related projects including solar power projects in these countries. At the same time, India intends to produce 175 gigawatt of clean energy by 2022, which will generate 100 gigawatt solar power generation.
60 countries signed for their approval!
ISA is known as a coalition of solar resource-rich countries. Coalition has been built so that it can meet its special energy needs. This coalition is open to 121 potential member countries that come between the tropic of Cancer and tropic of Capricorn. Nearly 60 countries have signed the ISA Framework Agreement and 30 have submitted verification documents. The 23 countries that submitted the verification documents and the 24 countries that signed the Framework Agreement will be present at the Founder Conference.
