Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today performed bhoomi-pujan of the Lamta pipe irrigation project line to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 146 crore 50 lakh in Paraswada assembly of Balaghat district.
The Chief Minister said that this project would provide water for irrigation to 55 villages in the area. Irrigation through pipeline will save water, and irrigation will also be doubled.
Chouhan congratulated the residents of the area who would be benefitted from the project.
Ladli Bahna Yojna’s amount will come into account from June 10
Chouhan gave information about the Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana, announced recently for the sisters of the state. He said that this scheme is for empowerment of women and sisters. Empowerment of women will empower the society. When the society is empowered, the state will be empowered and when the state is empowered, the country will be empowered.
The CM informed that applications of eligible sisters will be filled from March 5 under the scheme. The work of filling applications will be done in March and April and they will be checked in the month of May. Rs. 1000 will begin to be deposited into the sisters’ accounts from June 10. He said that under the old age pension scheme, now the amount of old people getting Rs. 600 per month is being increased to Rs.1000.
All liquor ahatas will be closed from April 1st
Chouhan said that the state government is working with the aim of making the lives of the people better. He said that in the new provision added by the government in the new liquor policy, all liquor ahatas will be closed from April 1st.
The Chief Minister said that the possibilities of investment in Balaghat district are increasing. In the coming days, there will be recruitment on more than one lakh government posts in the state. Its order has been issued. He announced to start MA and MSc classes in Lamta College soon on the demand of the Minister of State for AYUSH and Water Resources.
He informed about other public welfare schemes besides Bhu-adhikar Awasiya Yojana, Ayushman Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Bal Shravan Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Bal Ashirwad Yojana.
The Chief Minister also announced to make Lamta a tehsil. Similarly, he spoke about giving approval to irrigation projects and other proposals after considering technical aspects etc. from all sides.
The government will pay the full interest for defaulter
Chouhan said that the state government will pay the entire interest of farmers who have defaulted due to non-payment of loans. He extended best wishes to the new couples who tied the knot on February 23 under the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana being organised by the Balaghat administration. The Chief Minister congratulated and appreciated SDM Baihar for doing better work in the caste certificate campaign.
Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) and Water Resources Ramkishore Nano Kavre gave information about the works approved by the state government in Lamta area and gave proposals for other necessary development works.
Bhoomi pujan and dedication of 476 development works worth Rs. 678 crore
Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan and dedicated 476 development works costing Rs. 678 crore 57 lakh 65 thousand. This includes bhoomi-pujan of 467 construction works costing Rs. 601 crore 11 lakh 93 thousand and dedication of 9 development works costing Rs. 77 crore 39 lakh 72 thousand.
Distributed benefits to the beneficiaries
Chouhan distributed benefits to the beneficiaries under various schemes of the state government in Lamta. He distributed subsidy amount of Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme, Mukhya Mantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, assurance certificates to Ladli Laxmi girls, women groups of Livelihood Mission and of the scheme of Horticulture and Agriculture Department.
Met orphaned children, vehicles flagged off
Chouhan had an intimate interaction with the orphaned beneficiary children of Mukhya Mantri Bal Ashirwad Yojana in Lamta. Along with meeting the children of the slum area, who are benefiting from the cooperation of the district administration, he also inquired about their well-being.
The Chief Minister also gave gifts to the children. CM Shri Chouhan also visited the development exhibition organized by various departments. He flagged off the “Nikshay Poshan Rath” in the Nikshay Abhiyan of the Health Department and the vehicle in the Matsya Sampada Abhiyan. The CM also distributed nutritional food to TB patients.
Free coaching started for participants from remote areas
As an innovation, Chouhan inaugurated free coaching being started by the district administration for participating children from remote areas of the district by pressing the remote key button. He also appreciated this innovation of the district administration.
Appreciation of Nishadraj Bhavan
Chouhan appreciated the Nishadraj bhavans built for the convenience of fishermen in Balaghat district. He said that this innovation done in the district will encourage fisheries and provide good environment to fishermen for fisheries and other activities. In the district, 100 Nishadraj buildings with a unit cost of Rs. 2 lakh 77 thousand have been constructed. Along with this, approval has been given for 96 buildings. Along with MGNREGA, the amount of 15th Finance Commission has been used for these buildings.
Welcomed with Baiga dance
On the arrival of CM Chouhan at Lamta, the people of Baiga, a special backward tribe, welcomed the Chief Minister with a Baiga dance. Overwhelmed by the welcome, the Chief Minister himself joined the dance and encouraged the Baiga dancers by playing the dholak.
