He noted that the country is swiftly advancing in all sectors, including tourism. Dr. Yadav highlighted Lord Mahakal as the God of time, bringing joy and enthusiasm to our lives, much like tour operators who play a similar role.
He praised Bhopal as a vibrant tourism hub, where tigers are frequently spotted and the Upper Lake stands as a testament to exceptional construction.
Dr. Yadav also commended Prime Minister Modi for demonstrating India’s evolving role on the global stage through his train journey from Poland to Ukraine.
Union Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat emphasized that people worldwide are increasingly interested in exploring India’s rich diversity in history, culture, cuisine, and knowledge.
This growing interest presents new opportunities for tourism.
He urged us to seize this moment and help establish India as a global tourism hub.

Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (Independent Charge) Dharmendra Singh Lodhi stated that Madhya Pradesh has established a distinctive identity in heritage, cultural, spiritual, responsible, and safe tourism.
He highlighted that the IATO conference, held in the heart of India, will play a crucial role in showcasing Madhya Pradesh’s tourism on the global stage.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Union Minister Shri Shekhawat inaugurated the convention by lighting the lamp following which the IATO Manual was released.
A film focusing on IATO was screened. Late M.L. Razdan of Razdan Holidays was awarded the Hall of Fame honor by RTO which was received by his daughter-in-law, Anita Razdan.
Also, Puneet Chhatwal, MD and CEO of Indian Hotel Company Limited was honored with the Hall of Fame.
Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture Shri Sheoshekhar Shukla said that the Madhya Pradesh Convention of IATO will set a benchmark for the coming conventions.
He congratulated all the IATO delegates during their visit to Madhya Pradesh to learn closely about the historical heritage, rich culture, and natural beauty of the state.
He also urged to make efforts to bring tourists from India and abroad to Madhya Pradesh.
Chairman IATO Shri Rajeev Mehra explained in detail about the importance and role of IATO in the tourism sector. Vice President IATO Shri Ravi Gonsai highlighted the objectives and tasks of the IATO convention.
Enchanting Madhya Pradesh: Cultural presentation depicting the heartland of India
To highlight the historical splendor and natural beauty of Madhya Pradesh, a captivating cultural presentation titled “Enchanting Madhya Pradesh: Heart of India” was staged. Directed by Sushri Maitrei Pahari and coordinated by the Culture Department, the 40-minute performance featured 53 artists showcasing the state’s rich heritage, spirituality, and historical significance through dance. Additionally, Kailash Sisodiya and his partner Dhar won acclaim from tour operators nationwide with their traditional Bhagoria dance of the Bhil tribe.
Managing Director of State Tourism Development Corporation Shri Ilaiyaraaja T, Additional Managing Director Tourism Board Bidisha Mukherjee, President of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Chapter of IATO Mahendra Pratap Singh, members of IATO from all over the country, and related officials were present.
