In the interaction with young students and voters of the Stella Maris College in Chennai, a young student asked Gandhi questions about Robert Vadra.

Gandhi, who at the time was dissing the central government and its policies, in response to her questions, said, “Law must apply to everybody, to you, me, Robert Vadra and PM Modi, too, but not be applied selectively.”

“Law must apply to everybody, not be applied selectively. Probe Robert Vadra but investigate Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well,” he said. “I will be the first person to say it, investigate Robert Vadra but also investigate Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.

In response to another question, he said he had learnt the lessons of humility and love from his mother Sonia Gandhi.

On Tuesday, the Congress Working Committee (CWC) met in Ahmedabad and resolved to “defeat the RSS/BJP ideology of fascism, hatred, anger and divisiveness”. Members agreed that “no sacrifice is too great in this endeavour to defeat the ideology of RSS/BJP, no effort too little; this battle will be won”.

Priyanka Gandhi, General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh (east region) was also present in the CWC meet for the first time, who first visited Sabarmati to pay honour to Mahatma Gandhi on the day to landmark Salt March before she addressed the public rally with other senior leaders of the Congress.

The meeting, chaired by Rahul Gandhi, was held two days after the Election Commission announced that Lok Sabha polls will be held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19 and counting on May 23.
