Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh is the heart of the country and Indore is the heartbeat of Madhya Pradesh.
The development of Indore is of utmost priority. No stone is being left unturned for the development of Indore, he said.
There is rapid development in every field here, Chouhan said.
He said that Indore should become a solar city, with everyone’s efforts in this direction.
He also got the citizens to take a resolution to make a solar city. Chief Minister said that Ahilya Lok will also be built in Indore.
Chouhan participated in the Indore Gaurav Diwas at Nehru Stadium in Indore today. The birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilya Bai was celebrated as Gaurav Divas in Indore with devotion and faith.
Chouhan said that suppression of the wicked and upliftment of the good people is Rajdharma.
He directed that strict action should be taken against the criminals in Indore by making serious efforts. While alerting, the Chief Minister said that this time too Indore should come first in the whole country in terms of cleanliness. Further serious efforts are needed for this.
Many cities of the country are working seriously to become top in cleanliness, he said. Indoreans must bear in mind that there should be no mistake. Together, we should try our best to make Indore the topper again. Cleanliness is the identity and brand of Indore. It should be maintained at all costs.
Chouhan inaugurated the works of Umang Park to be built by the Indore Municipal Corporation. He also released the Sankalp Patra of Solar City and dedicated the Vriksh ambulance.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated the incubation center set-up by the Indore Development Authority to assist start-ups.
Citizens participated in the Gaurav Diwas celebrations with full enthusiasm and gaiety. Along with the presentations of various cultural programmes, other programmes also took place in the ceremony. Renditions of melodious songs by renowned singer Sunidhi Chauhan also took place during the function.
Presentation of musical band and Krishna-Leela was given in Gaurav Diwas function. In the ceremony, a group of 50 people presented an attractive program of Shiv-Mahima with Damru and Shankhnaad. A presentation based on the life of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar was given by Ms. Ragini Makkhar and child artistes. Light and sound show took place. Grand fireworks were also done on the occasion of Gaurav Diwas.
