The West Central Railway Zone (WCR) of India Railways covers Jabalpur, Bhopal divisions in Madhya Pradesh and Kota division in Rajasthan has recovered fine of Rs. 131.78 crore from passengers travelling without ticket/ unbooked luggage/ without proper ticket in various running trains and in the railway stations.
The regular ticket checking campaigns were undertaken from April 2022 to February 2023 of the current financial year in various running trains and on railway stations.
The CCM squad of the West Central Railway headquarters in Jabalpur in 37000 cases recovered fine of Rs. 2.86 crore from the passengers.
In Jabalpur division in 7.26 lakh cases recovered fine of Rs.55.51 crore from the passengers.
In Bhopal division in 7.02 lakh cases recovered fine of Rs. 45.87 crore from the passengers.
In Kota division in 4.27 lakh cases recovered fine of Rs.27.53 lakh from the passengers.
