The state owned MP State Tourism Development Corporation is going to provide taxi services to general public soon in four places including Bhopal, its chairman Vinod Gotia said.
Currently the MPSTDC is providing taxi service to select clients only, he said.
The decision to expand the taxi services was taken following complaints from many of the tourists of not getting proper taxi services, he said.
The taxi services will be extended to general public in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore and Gwalior in first phase, he said.
The taxi services will be four types including destination based, inter-district and facility to hire services for entire financial year.
The booking facility for the taxi service will be available on the MPSTDC website as per the plan, he said.
The private operator will provide vehicles for which conversation is going on, he said.
The taxi services will be available round the clock he said.
The Corporation has plans to launch IPO in near future to raise fund presently the Corporation is dependent on the State funding, he said.
