Ujjain Satellite Campus has been in-principle approved. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav today met Union Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at his residence in New Delhi today and discussed in detail issues relating education and skill development.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the project for setting up a satellite campus in Ujjain had been prepared by the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore and sent to the Education Ministry for approval in the year 2023.
The Chief Minister said that the Ujjain Satellite Campus is an important project, which will benefit the students, teachers and industrial workers.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed Union Minister Shri Pradhan that four future skill courses are being run by the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in Madhya Pradesh.
Dr. Yadav said that Augmented Reality-Virtual Reality courses have been established in Mahila Polytechnic College, Bhopal, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence courses have been established in Jabalpur Engineering College and Blockchain courses have been established in Ujjain Engineering College, which provide skill development are being run under the Sankalp Yojana of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship. One thousand youth of the state are being trained in each course.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that a Center of Excellence is being established in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality by the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skill Park set up by the state.
He informed that it has also been decided to appoint Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi as the technical advisor in place of ITE, Singapore for the course to be conducted at Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skill Park.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav thanked Union Minister Pradhan for his support.
He invited Pradhan to be the chief guest for the launch of the skill upgrading innovations, which he accepted.
Union Minister Pradhan informed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav about the great freedom fighter of Orissa, Veer Surendra Sai, who had spent more than 35 years in prison at Asirgarh Fort.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav assured the Union Minister that the state government will soon install a statue of freedom fighter Veer Surendra Sai in Asirgarh Fort and also build a memorial in his honour.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this will strengthen the cultural ties between Madhya Pradesh and Orissa.
