The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on Tuesday cautioned the public that it did not get into the plastic or laminated Aadhar card. Because the unauthorized printing can stop the QR code from working or personal information can be made public without their consent. The Authority says that the base letter or its cut portion, the extracted version or the Aadhar of the base on the Aadhar letter is completely valid.
The Authority says that unauthorized printing of the Aadhar smart card will cost the user Rs 50 to 300, which is totally unnecessary. The Authority has said in a statement, “Plastic or PVC Aadhar smart card can not be used as a normal QR code. Because this code stops working during unauthorized printing.
Accordingly, in this process the personal information of the beneficiary can be made public without his approval. Ajay Bhushan Pandey, CEO of UADAI, said that the plastic smart card is completely unnecessary and waste because downloading the Aadhaar card published on the general paper or the ‘M basis is fully valid.
