Struggle of three decades ends, 4 thousand 800 workers of Hukumchand Mill get relief.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave benefits to workers of Hukumchand Mill Indore while addressing virtually a programme ‘Mazdooron ka hit Mazdooron ko Samarpit’ organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee observed as ‘Good Governance Day’.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav greeted Prime Minister Modi and handed over the cheque of benefits to be distributed to the workers of Hukumchand Mill to the representatives of the labour union and the liquidator.

Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of a 60 megawatt solar power plant project to be built using money received from green bonds.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed bhoomi pujan and dedicated to people, a host of welfare development works worth about Rs 429 crore and distributed retrofitted scooties to 175 differently able people.

Green bond of Jalud Plant to ensure participation of citizens in protecting environment

Prime Minister Modi said that Jalud Solar Energy Plant is going to save electricity bills worth Rs 4 crore per month.

Funds are being raised from people for this plant by issuing green bonds.

This effort of Green Bond will become another medium to ensure participation of the citizens of the country in protecting the environment.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is a matter of immense joy and pride that Indore, the city of Lokmata Ahilya Bai, is one among the fastest growing cities of the world. Lokmata Ahilya Bai dedicated her entire kingdom to Mahadev and lived an ideal life as a Sevika.

She was the empress of the Holkar dynasty, but she got religious places all over the country renovated, her contributions in pilgrimage places like Kedarnath, Jamunotri, Gangotri, Rameshwaram, Dwarka, Banaras etc. is clearly visible. Ujjain also gained prominence due to Mahakal.

In the ‘Mazdooron ke hit, Mazdooron ko Samarpit’ Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of the solar power plant to be built at a cost of Rs 308 crore in Jalud.

This solar power plant will be built on 220 acres of land. With the establishment of the said solar power plant, there will be a monthly saving of Rs 4 crore out of the monthly expenditure of about Rs 25 crore incurred by the Municipal Corporation on pumping of Narmada river for water supply in Indore city.

Through this project, 90 thousand carbon credits will also be generated every year and carbon emissions will be reduced to such an extent that approximately 90 lakh trees would have to be planted for it. Indore Municipal Corporation, registered in NSE, is the first urban body in the country which has started the establishment of this solar power plant with the money generated by issuing a public issue of green bonds.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav dedicated a total of 71 development works of 8 departments in the programme, the total cost of which is Rs 105.73 crore. Similarly, bhoomi pujan/foundation stone of development works of 3 departments was also performed the total cost of which is Rs 322.85 crore. Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Camp was also organized at the venue.

Retrofit Scooties distributed to 175 differently abled persons

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also distributed retrofit scooties to 175 differently abled persons. He met the differently abled persons and distributed the scooty keys to them. He also launched the Red Cross app for donations to Red Cross.
