Chandigarh: Haryana government approved a proposal to bring the law related to the provision of the death sentence to the culprits of rape of girls aged 12 years and below on Tuesday (February 28) .
In a meeting of the state cabinet headed by Chief Minister Manoharlal Khattar, it was decided to further tighten existing criminal laws related to sexual crimes. Section 376A of the Indian Penal Code (sexual intercourse with a man by his wife), 376D (gang rape by one or more people), 354 (assault on any woman with intention of defamation or The use of criminal force) and 354D (2) (pursuing), amended the legal provisions. An official statement said that the Cabinet decided that a girl of 12 years of age would be sentenced to death or rigorous imprisonment in the case of rape or gang rape which would not be less than 14 years and could turn into life imprisonment.
Gang rape with woman
On the other hand, the matter of abducting a woman in Baheen station area of Palwal and allegedly gang-raping her has come to light. According to Kamla Devi, in charge of the woman station, a woman has filed a complaint that on 15th February she went from her house to a private work in the village. When she was coming to her home from Ghamsika, Rasid and his two other companions, came from the car on the way, kidnapped her and allegedly raped her. In-charge of the police station said that the woman said in her complaint that the accused escaped after threatening to kill her. The woman police station has registered a case against two other accused, including a nomination on the complaint of the victim.
