The Sikh community celebrated the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj in the form of a festival of lights with great enthusiasm, faith and spirit of service.
There was joy everywhere. People greeted each other on the Festival of Lights – Prakash Parab. Huzuri Ragi Bhai Gurpreet Singh of Harmandir Sahib Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar Punjab said that Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji spread love among the people by traveling on foot all over the world and advocated world peace.
He gave the message of ‘do your work, chant the name of God and ‘Band Chhako’ i.e. get distributed. Eat your taxes and wish well for all – Nanak Naam Chaddi Kala Tere.
Joy spread everywhere on Guru Nanak Jayanti. Bhane sarbat da bhala. Ragiji and his group were singing Saras Gurbani Shabad Kirtan – Satguru Nanak Pargatiya Mitti Dhundh Jag Chanan Hoa.
Ragi ji further said that when a Sikh bows his head to the ten Gurus, along with him the devotee also bows his head to Surdas Parmanand Jaidev Dhanna Veni Farid Trilochan Ravidas Namdev Kabir Ramanand and Bhagat Sen, because all these devotees are present in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Are. Gurbani Shabad Kirtan was also presented by Ragi Jatha Bhai Narendra Singh, Bhai Trilochan Singh, Jagadhri Punjab and student group of Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa VidyalayaJabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India.
Guruvani Mimansak and storyteller knowledgeable Dr. Harban Singh Alwar Rajasthan said that today when the whole world is burning in fire, the inspirational principles of Guru Nanak Dev become even more relevant today.
Today, thousands of devotees of every class and religion bowed their heads in the Kirtan Darbar and by sitting in a queue and taking the Guru’s langar, Guru Nanak Dev’s mission of world brotherhood and all-religion harmony was fulfilled.
Chief Granthi Giani Rajendra Singh conducted a special prayer for world peace and welfare of all people, after which Kadah Prasad was distributed.
In the attractive pandal, the poster exhibition of 10 Sikh Guru Sahibans and devotees included in Sri Guru Granth Sahib and the tableau of Guru Nanak Dev with snake shadow became the center of attraction.
The military officers guarding the country’s borders and various servants of the society were also honored by giving them felicitation letters and saropas.
The program was conducted by MS Nagi and vote of thanks was conducted by General Secretary Gurudev Singh Reel.
In the nightly Kirtan Darbar, the youth also enjoyed fireworks along with loud bursts of firecrackers. Langar of tea, pakodas and various sweets was distributed here.
Prakash Utsav was also celebrated with full joy and faith by various organizations in different areas of the city including sub-urban area Westland, Khamaria, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan Premnagar, Sikh Nanari Manch Iqbal Bhawan, Sindhu Samaj Lalmati Gurudwara Gwarighat and Gurudwara Madhatal, in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. Fruits and sweets were distributed at many places.
