Three girls were dead and 15 others were injured in a fire in a national story camp organized in Pransala village in Rajkot, Gujarat. The state government has ordered compensation of Rs four lakh compensation to the relatives of the deceased and the accident.
District collector Vikrant Pandey told that on Friday night, the fire took place in the women’s pandal at the camp and after seeing it, the vikalal form took shape. The National Disaster Response Force and the Fire Brigade’s team took hundreds of people out there safely. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital. The short circuit is believed to be the cause of fire but an order to investigate the matter has been ordered to ascertain the true reasons.
The camp was organized by religious leader Swami Dharmadhuji. They have expressed grief at the incident. For the past 20 years, the camp is being held here every year. Around 10 thousand people were in the 10-day camp. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and State Chief Minister Vijay Rupani also visited this year’s camp.
