Just before the 26th of January, Delhi Police has got a big success. Delhi Police arrested SIMI and Indian Mujahideen militant Abdul Subhan Qureshi from Ghazipur border in Delhi. His arrest took place on Saturday. He was coming to Delhi with a car. The special cell, under the name of India’s bin Laden, was notorious for the intelligence department. At present, he has been sent to 14 days of police remand.
Qureshi’s name was included in the list of desirable wishes as a master mind of serial bomb blast in Gujarat in 2008. The search for Quraishi began when 26 bomb blasts took place on 26 July 2008 in Gujarat’s capital Ahmedabad.
DCP Pramod Kushwaha of Delhi Police has said that Quraishi came to Delhi to activate the Restricted Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) and the terrorist organization Indian Mujahideen again. This, along with Riyaz Bhatkal, established the Indian Mujahideen. It had a major role in fund raising for Simi and Indian Mujahideen. During the arrest of Ghazipur, the Delhi Police received an automatic gun from it.
