Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that we all are descendants of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. Her works for the welfare of the people can never be forgotten. A grand memorial of Maa Ahilyabai Holkar will be built in Gwalior. The bus stand being constructed at Behta will be named after Ahilyabai Holkar. Along with this, a board will be constituted in the state for the welfare of Baghel and Dhangar community, whose chairman will have the status of a cabinet minister. There will be an optional holiday on the birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the convention of Pal, Baghel and Dhangar Samaj on Saturday in Behta, rural area of Gwalior.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that I swear at the feet of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar that I will leave no stone unturned for the welfare of the community. He said that work will be done continuously for the implementation of welfare schemes for the benefit of backward classes. Ladli Bahnas are getting the benefit of Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana for empowering sisters and changing their lives. He said that along with meritorious scholarship for studies, all facilities will be made available to the students of Pal, Baghel, Dhangar community for medical and engineering education. Starting of medical and engineering education in Hindi language will benefit the students of penurious communities. The Chief Minister said that the works of good governance of Devi Ahilyabai are remembered in the country and world.
Nation will not forget the justice and sacrifice of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar
Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that sacrifice, penance, dedication, justice and work are worshipped in our country. The country will never forget the justice and sacrifice of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. He said that due to the installation of the statue of Maa Ahilyabai at Behta Tiraha in Gwalior, this Tiraha has now become Ahilya Tiraha. Union Agriculture Minister Shri Tomar said that Devi Ahilyabai Holkar has also done exemplary work for the development of Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The state government is also doing numerous things for the upliftment of the Baghel community.
Mata Ahilyabai fought against the tyrants
Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that 140 crore people of the country can never forget the sacrifice of Pal and Baghel community. Mentioning the work and services of Ahilyabai Holkar for public welfare, he said that she gave the message of human welfare to the whole world. Mata Ahilyabai fought against the oppressors while leading in the battlefield. She worked for economic progress and development of Adhya and Shakti in the country. Temples and Dharamshalas were also built at different places in the country. Union Minister Shri Scindia said that he has a close relationship with Pal, Baghel and Dhangar communities.

He said that Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia and Kailashvasi Madhavrao Scindia also did the work of spiritual upliftment of Pal, Baghel community.

He also started numerous schemes to pave the way for the welfare, upliftment and progress of the society. Dr. Rajendra Pal, President of Pal, Baghel and Dhangar Samaj gave the welcome speech.
