Senior Sociologist Anand Kumar calls the union and state governments to take in loop the sociologists while devising socio-economic policies to remove disparity of income in the society.
Currently, the governments consult economists on the welfare policies but least is being done to check unequal distribution of income throughout the population, he said.
Apart from it, there is no interaction between the policy makers and the social scientists like academicians and researchers on overall development in the society, Kumar said.
He was talking to the local reporters in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh over the inequality of income in the society.
The ministers and party leaders are often ask experts for welfare policies that will increase their vote bank, there is no guarantee that the party wins or lose election, but there is guarantee about such measures will impact social development of the country, he said.
Whenever there is agitation it is against a particular policy, the people are not against any political party but the agitators are termed as anti-national is wrong, he said.
About the future of Aam Admi Party (APP), he said the future of Aam Admi Party government led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is safe in Delhi till the BJP and Congress goes back to the poor.
Kumar is one of the founder members of the Aam Admi Party.
The APP was then formed as alternate to the existing political parties and several issues were raised including to set up the Lokpal – anti corruption ombudsman, he said.
In Delhi, the APP government is yet to set up the Lokpal, he said.
