The principal of the school and the superintendent of the boys and girls hostel have been suspended in connection with the case of students fell ill after having dinner on Monday night at Eklavyas Adarsh Residential School, Rampur Chhapar, Jabalpur Madhya Pradesh.
It may be noted that after having dinner at Ekalavyar Residential School last Monday night, many students complained of stomach ache and vomiting and were admitted to the district hospital, medical college and private hospitals for treatment.
Principal in-charge (lecturer) of Eklavya Adarsh Residential School, Geeta Sahu was suspended by the Divisional Commissioner Abhay Verma and the Superintendent of Girls Hostel (Primary Teacher) of the school Jyoti Bala Golhani and the Superintendent of Boys Hostel (Upper Division Teacher) Mohan Patel was suspended by the district collector Saurabh Kumar Suman.
This action of suspension of the school principal and boys and girls hostel superintendents has been taken on the basis of the report received by the district Collector from the committee formed under the leadership of SDM Gorakhpur to investigate the incident. In the report, all three were found prima facie guilty of the incident, the official communique of the state government said on Tuesday.
Collector Saurabh Kumar Suman had constituted a six-member inquiry committee under the leadership of SDM Gorakhpur Pankaj Mishra to investigate this incident of children falling ill. In-charge of the investigation committee is Assistant Commissioner Tribal Welfare P.K. Singh, Tehsildar Gorakhpur Bharat Soni, Junior Supply Officer Sarika Dubey and Food Safety Officers Pankaj Srivastava and Sanjay Kumar Gupta were included.
