A further decision will be passed in the Special CBI Court of Ranchi in Dumka case of Bihar Fodder scam. Earlier, on March 6, Laloo Yadav along with other accused Birsa Munda Central Jail had appeared in the special court of CBI through video conferencing.
After completion of hearing, the court had fixed March 15 as the date of the verdict. In the Dumka case, there were 31 accused including former Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra, former MP Dr RK Rana, Jagdish Sharma, besides Lalu Prasad Yadav. Lalu Yadav records six cases of fodder scam Of which, the sentence has been heard in some cases. Lalu Yadav is currently lodged in Birsa Munda Central Jail in Ranchi. A trial in the Donda Treasury case was heard on Wednesday, in the court of Special Judge Pradeep Kumar, in connection with the illegal withdrawal from Donda Treasury. During the hearing the other accused including former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad, appeared through video conferencing in the court.
On behalf of the CBI, the testimony of Vishu Bhushan Dwivedi, the then Inspector of Vigilance, was recorded. He told the court that other people including Gauri Shankar Prasad, Mohammed Sayeed, and Shyam Bihari had illegally evacuated crores of rupees. When the case came to light on May 24, 1992 against the former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad and Bhagwat Jha, including these people, in writing, gave the report to G Narayana.
