A FIR is registered against Madhya Pradesh Congress IT department head Abhay Tiwari and media incharge journalist Piyush Babele into alleged ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans raised in the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra.
The FIR was registered by the crime branch of MP police in Bhopal on Sunday on basis of a complaint from BJP spokesperson Pankaj Chaturvedi and deputy spokesperson Narendra Shivaji Patel against Tiwari and Babele under sections 153 (b), 504, 505 (1) & (2) and 120b of IPC.
BJP state media incharge Lokendra Parashar said the complaint was made by the party’s state spokesperson Pankaj Chaturvedi and deputy spokesperson Narendra Shivaji Patel in the Crime Branch.
He said in the complaint it was claimed Congress’s Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Kamal Nath and the entire Congress party have organized anti-national activities in the entire country under the pretext of Bharat Jodo Yatra and slogans of Pakistan Zindabad are being raised in the yatra, so that the public peace is disturbed in the country.
The complaint further claims, the purpose of the Yatra is to unite and strengthen India and to gain popularity by the Congress leaders, but the objective of the Bharat Jodo Yatra is allegedly a conspiracy, due to which the people of the country are being cheated, Parashar said.
The basic purpose of Bharat Jodo Yatra came to the fore during the Yatra crossed Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, which was in form of slogans of Pakistan Zindabad was raised, Parashar said.
The BJP Party leaders said when the yatra reached village Dhangaon of Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh, slogans of Pakistan Zindabad were raised. Congress party itself recorded the video of this incident and tweeted it on the Twitter handle of Indian National Congress, Madhya Pradesh on November 25 and Madhya Pradesh Congress media department chief Piyush Babele also sent the video of the said crime to journalists in his WhatsApp group, Parashar said.
But on realizing the spread of the crime across the country, Congress Party Madhya Pradesh deleted that video from its Twitter handle after some time, Parashar informed through a press note.
Meanwhile, Congress General Secretary in-charge Communications, MP and former Union Minister Jairam Ramesh tweeted in the 81 days of #BharatJodoYatra we witnessed huge crowds in places like Kochi, Mysuru, Ballari, Hyderabad, Nanded and Shegaon. But today in Indore was such a different experience altogether that I ended up walking more than 20kms. Jai Ho Indore! BJP be forewarned!
