Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia said that Mukhyamantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana has been envisaged by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to make our youth skilled with the help of industry and create future workforce. Yashodhara Raje Scindia was addressing a workshop organised at FICCI House at New Delhi under the joint aegis of FICCI and Madhya Pradesh Government on Mukhyamantri Seekho Kamao Yojana. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was virtually present.
Scindia said that adequate skill pool and infrastructure exists in the state. She informed that with the co-operation of Singapore, a 34-acre Global Skill Park in Bhopal will be ready by the month of September, in which 6,000 youths will be trained in 9 areas like Mechatronics, Automotive Technology, Precision Engineering, AC Refrigeration, Network System. Smt. Scindia invited FICCI members and industrialists to partner with the Academic Building and Centre of Excellence spread over an area of 92 thousand square feet in this park. Minister Scindia said that the enthusiasm of the industrial world towards the Mukhyamantri Seekho Kamao Yojana is worth seeing. Only through team partnership and collaboration can we turn this enthusiasm into reality. For this, our department and the state government are committed to provide all possible help.
At the workshop, Additional Chief Secretary Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Shri Manu Srivastava threw light on the background of scheme and the benefits to the establishments. Shri Srivastava said that under this scheme, the natives of Madhya Pradesh in the age group of 18 to 29 will be given industry-oriented training in more than 750 courses so that they can become eligible to get regular employment. About one lakh youth of the state will get the benefit of this scheme every year. Under the scheme GST registered private companies across the country can register. In MMSKY, students-candidates will get a stipend of Rs 8 to 10 thousand according to their educational qualification, three-fourth of which will be borne by the state government. Shri Srivastava said that during the prescribed one-year period of training, participating establishments will save 75 percent stipend per month on each student-candidate and Rs. 90 thousand annually. After training, the company will be able to employ these students-candidates in future as per their requirement. After the launch ot he registration process, in the last two days, more than 50 thousand students-candidates have registered till now along with more than 11 thousand establishments have also registered in the portal and more than 36 thousand vacancies have been published.

Director Skill Development Harjinder Singh said that the state’s first Global Skill Park will be ready in Bhopal soon. Apart from this, four Global Skill Parks are to be set up in Gwalior, Rewa, Sagar and Jabalpur which will focus on green jobs, artificial intelligence and animation. He appealed to FICCI members for cooperation.
