Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that every citizen must adopt some work in the interest of the society.
Chouhan called upon the citizens to plant saplings on their birthdays, marriage anniversaries and in the memory of departed family members, donate time and money for gau-seva, encourage daughters, save water and electricity and work for a drug-free society, so that we can give a different identity to our state.
Chouhan was addressing the five-day Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha programme of spiritual orator Pandit Pradeep Mishra in Karond area today. Shree Shiv Mahapuran Katha was organized with the support of Medical Education Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang and social workers in memory of Late Kailash Sarang and Late. Prasoon Sarang.
Chouhan paid floral tribute to Late Kailash Sarang and Late Smt. Prasoon Sarang. He also bowed down to Pandit Anantashree Vibhuti Acharya Shri Mahamandaleshwar Padanabhsharandevacharya Ji Maharaj.
Pandit Pradeep Mishra said Chouhan has done an innovative work of planting saplings daily to save the environment. His determination is exemplary. The introduction of an ambulance system for cow protection and treatment of animals is also a unique step in Madhya Pradesh. Pandit Mishra expressed happiness over the arrival of Chouhan to attend the Shiv Mahapuran Katha. He said that the path of worship and devotion to Lord Shiva is also the means to do away with the doshas of the citizens. Everyone should make efforts to ensure that there is light of joy in our lives. Chouhan expressed his faith and happiness by playing the Damru on the devotional singing of Pandit Mishra.

Chouhan said that today he got the privilege of planting saplings with Pandit Pradeep Mishra. Pandit ji has also given the message of environmental protection. While saluting lakhs of sisters and citizens who had gathered to listen to the Shiv Mahapuran Katha, Chief Minister Chouhan said that we all have to take our daughters forward. The state government has done the work of promoting girls marriage, Ladli Lakshmi and Ladli Bahna Yojana and giving reservation to sisters in local bodies. Those who dishonor daughters are being punished. Along with this, an ambulance system has also been started in Madhya Pradesh for sick animals. If bulls, cows, heifers etc. are ill, then there will be no difficulty in taking them to the hospital. Every soul is a part of the Supreme Soul. The same consciousness pervades all.
