Bhopal. For encouraging students for entrepreneurship and funding their start-up, Rajiv Gandhi University of Technology (RGPV) has prepared E-Entrepreneurship Cell for the students.
Higher and Technical Education Minister Umashankar Gupta inaugurated the cell on Monday. Under this, more than 200 affiliated colleges will get benefited from it. The cell’s chairperson and student of computer science of third-year, Gunjan Raichandani said, that this is definitely going to benefit the students. He further said that its main objective was to make the enterprises, development of an institutional mechanism for culture, effective action for small industries and small enterprises, besides facilitating workshops, to facilitate jobs to young people. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Piyush Trivedi said that the Venture Fund of Rs. 12.50 crore has been set up for the start-up. He said that the bank is ready to provide loans upto Rs. 1 crore. Prof. Piyush Trivedi said that Shikha Agrawal will be the patron of assistant professor cell in computer science of the university. An advisory board was being set up to run the cell smoothly. It included high officials of RGPV.
He said, “The venture fund of Rs 12.50 crore has been constituted for start-ups. Banks are also willing to provide loans up to Rs 1 crore”, he added.
Students learned here myriad of possibilities with ‘Internet of Things – IOT ‘ and Cloud Computing through a series of a webinar conducted by Ted consulting and was powered by e-Cell, RGPV, for the National Smart Cities Hackathon.
Mr Yash Parwani, CEO OPPO Digital India and Ms Meghna Kaur, Recruiter at Oppo Digital India also came as a guest in annual flagship event Imprenditore 2.0. Mr Parwani gave an expert lecture and students also got a chance TO GET RECRUITED in OPPO itself!
Many other workshops were conducted such as marketing for startups, pitching dynamic session, business model development etc.

The Startup Expo, brought together the most innovative startups and to empower the startup ecosystem. It was Not only an exhibition, but also a platform for startups to showcase their ideas and a Golden opportunity for all the startups to showcase themselves.
On this occasion, an internship fair was also organized for the students. Under the internship fair, 650 students appeared in the online examination. After getting selected in exam, students got an opportunity to give interview in two companies.
The youngest app developer, Tanmay Bakshi will also be present tomorrow at 10AM at RGPV Campus and will have a ‘keynote special’ for the students.
