To know the reality of power supply in the city, Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar went on a surprise visit to Gwalior city late on Friday night. Other public representatives were also involved with him.
Energy Minister Tomar D.D. Visited Nagar Sub Station, Shatabdipuram, Sovanagar area and got to know the reality of power supply by talking directly with the consumers. During the inspection, after seeing the defective cable at one place, the officials of the Electricity Department were instructed to replace the damaged cable with promptness.
Energy Minister D.D. Surprise inspection of city sub-station was also done. He directed the officers that if any complaint regarding power supply is received, the work of rectifying it should be done immediately. Power supply should not be interrupted without any reason.
Energy Minister Tomar gave clear instructions to the departmental officers that consumers should not face any problem due to departmental negligence. If negligence of departmental officers is found, punitive action will be taken against the concerned officers. During the discussion with the general consumers, he also obtained information regarding other problems with power supply and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officials.
