The wife of singer Yo Yo Honey Singh broke down during a Tis Hazari courtroom on Saturday during a hearing within the violence case filed by her against the singer, reported wire service ANI.
While expressing her grievances, Shalini Talwar, wife of Singh, broke down and told the Metropolitan Magistrate Tania Singh that she was left with no other option.

Shalini Talwar told the Court that she had given Honey Singh ten years and always stood by him but he had abandoned her.

The judge expressed her concern about Ms Talwar’s agony and asked her what she wanted from the Court.

“What stage is that the marriage at? Where is that the love lost?” the magistrate asked her.

The Court further opined that it’d be better if the matter might be settled.

The conversation between Ms Talwar and Magistrate Tania Singh passed when later within the day she had gone along with her counsel to indicate some evidence associated with the case.

Earlier within the morning, the court had expressed unhappiness with the non-appearance of Honey Singh and not filing of his anamnesis and income affidavits.

Metropolitan Magistrate Tania Singh said, “None of is above law. it’s very surprising to determine this case is taken very lightly.”

Honey Singh’s counsel Ishaan Mukherjee told the court that Mr Singh couldn’t appear before the court as he wasn’t well. He assured the court that Mr Singh would seem before the court on the following date of hearing.

Meanwhile, Honey Singh’s counsel filed a reply on a complaint case filed by his wife under “the Protection of ladies from violence Act”.

The court sought a written report and taxation returns details of Honey Singh. Mr Singh’s counsel assured the court that it’ll be filed at the earliest.

The court pulled up Honey Singh and said the conduct shouldn’t be repeated. “Your bank details aren’t on record. Your revenue enhancement returns are on record. You (counsel of Honey Singh) don’t seem to be prepared for arguments, ” the court said.

The court directed Mr Singh to seem before the Court on September 3.

Mr Singh’s counsel moved an application seeking exemption from personal appearance citing medical reasons while his wife Shalini Talwar was present during the hearing.

Mr Singh’s counsel told the court that Mr Singh’s wife has already bumped off all the property. He also assured the court that they’re able to accommodate her and that they will build a wall and flat which will be provided to her in 15 days. Mr Singh’s counsel apprised the court about Honey Singh’s two properties costing four crores out of which property one property has joint ownership of Shalini and Honey Singh.

The court said that the interim order will continue till the subsequent date of hearing. within the last hearing, the court had passed interim orders in favour of the complainant, wife of singer, restraining Honey Singh from taking out his jointly owned property, his wife’s Stridhan, etc.

The court was hearing a complaint case filed against the Bollywood singer by his wife under “the Protection of ladies from violence Act”.

“The Respondents (Honey Singh and others) also criminally intimidated the Applicant (wife), caused her extreme duress and torture. The Applicant (wife) has suffered immense pain and hurt from the respondents throughout the wedding. the whole events as stated evidently show that the Respondents have indulged in cruelty, physical, mental, sexual, economic and have tortured the Applicant wife immensely. intrinsically the Applicant wife is entitled to a compensation of ₹ 20,00,00,000 (Rupees Twenty Crores) from the Respondents, ” read the petition.

The complainant urged the court to pass a protection order under section 18 of Protection of girls from violence Act 2005 and directed the singer to pay compensation under the availability of the PWDV Act 2005 and to release the Stridhan and other material.
She also sought the help of protection officers and therefore the police for the implementation and execution of the orders as passed in her favour and against the respondents.
