Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today paid floral tributes to former President of India Late Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma on his birth anniversary at Rait Ghat spuare in Bhopal.
Remembering Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, CM Chouhan said that Dr. Sharma was the pride of Madhya Pradesh.
A glimpse of his works is seen in every street of Bhopal. Every area of Bhopal reflects his contribution.
The works done by Dr. Sharma as Union Minister and President were amazing.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that on behalf of the people of the state, I pay tribute to Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma.
On this occasion, the family members of Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma and citizens were present.
On the occasion of Dr. Sharma’s birth anniversary, Mayor Malti Rai, former Mayor Alok Sharma were present along with many public representatives. Everyone offered flowers and paid homage at the portrait of Dr. Sharma. The contribution of Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma was recalled.
The Chief Minister also released the special issue of monthly magazine Krishi Samadhan focused on Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma on the occasion.
Sapling plantation
Chief Minister Chouhan today planted a sapling in the garden located near the statue of Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma at Rait Ghat spuare in his memory. Family members of Dr. Sharma and citizens participated in the plantation. Late Dr. Sharma’s brother Ishdayal Sharma, nephew Amit Sharma, niece Sushri Ritu Sharma along with Sumit Pathak, Manish Dayal Sharma, Dinesh Dayal Sharma, Sanjay Dayal Sharma, Dhruv Soni, Ashok Verma, Rajendra Sharma, Raja Sharma, Roshni Sharma also participated in plantation.
Today the students of Oriental Group of Institute planted saplings.
