During a recent interview, Bollywood’s King Khan Shahrukh talked about gender equality in Bollywood and cultural differences in India. Amidst the fierce debate over the allegations of rape against powerful men in Hollywood, Shahrukh was asked about such things to be seen in the Hindi film industry, in response to which he said that anyone on the sets of his film, has no courage to do such things.
He said, “I have never done it personally, I have not seen it with my eyes, I can say that no one can dare to behave badly with women on my set, I am very clear about it.”
When Shahrukh says, “When I am working in the film, then we are very clear about the behavior towards women. Even the attention of women is given on the smallest side, as in the title of the film, their names come first, although nothing happens, but the respect is expressed by that. ”
He said, “To bring equality this little thing is also needed … see how much we have reduced ourselves to. Keeping the name of a girl is clear, how we are people, the thinking behind this is only equality. ”
