Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Sheopur is changing and developing at a fast pace.
He said many schemes are run by the central and state government for development and public welfare.
He said the government, people’s representatives, administration and residents of Sheopur together take a pledge that they will co-operate entirely with full commitment in this race of progress and development.
He said along with this, 100 percent implementation of government schemes should be ensured in Sheopur.
Chouhan said our government is dedicated for the welfare and development of the poor. Hues of development can be witnessed on the land of Sheopur on Rang Panchami. After the arrival of cheetahs, the national highway, broad gauge rail, and the gift of a medical college in Sheopur are creating a new history of development.
He said there will never be any shortage of funds for the progress of backward districts like Sheopur.
Chouhan took part in the foundation laying of Rs 768 crore Medical College building, Munjhari Major Irrigation Project, Premsar-Rinikheda Mudhla Marg and CM Rise Government Model Higher Secondary School building and dedication of development works worth Rs 245 crore 41 lakhs in Sheopur today.
The Chief Minister also dedicated the Chambal Micro Irrigation Project costing Rs 167 crore 58 lakhs. During this programme, the women of Sheopur presented a 51 feet long rakhi to Chouhan for implementing Ladli Bahna Yojana in the state.

Chouhan said Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is a Yugpurush. The country is fortunate enough to get the leadership of such a visionary. Cheetahs have arrived in Sheopur on the initiative of Prime Minister Modi.
This has increased the possibility of employment opportunities in Sheopur. Women of self-help groups are also getting inspired to run homestays in their villages.
The Central and State Governments are committed to change the lives of the poor. As a result of this thinking, the Ladli Bahna scheme has been implemented.
Ladli Bahna will make the life of women easier, happy, and dignified
Chouhan has said that if women are empowered then the family and society will be empowered. We aim to make the life of women simple and pleasant.
He said women should not have any difficulty with their small needs and money requirement, therefore arrangements have been made to provide them with Rs 1000 every month in Ladli Bahna Yojana.
He said women belonging to families whose annual income is less than Rs two and a half lakh, and who have less than 5 acres of land, will be eligible for the scheme.
Applications can be made in the scheme from 25 March to 30 April. An income certificate and domicile certificate will not be required to apply.
Only self-declared income will be considered. The applications will be scrutinized in May and the first installment will be deposited in the bank accounts of the women on the 10th of June.
Every month Rs 1000 thousand will be deposited in the accounts of the women.
Women do not need to go anywhere to apply for the scheme, he said.
The camps will be organised in every village and ward. Government employees and workers will be given the responsibility to assist in filling out the application.
He said women should not fall prey to any middlemen a to take advantage of the scheme. In case of any difficulty, information should be given on phone number 181. Those who engaged in irregularities will not be spared. Providing this amount to women will result in the welfare of the entire family.
He said women will spend this amount on the nutrition, education and health of the family. This scheme has been started for the self-esteem and self-respect of women. Youth will get opportunity to earn while learning in Skill Apprenticeship Scheme
Chouhan said that keeping in view the interest of the women, the premises adjacent to liquor shops are being closed from April 1. The state government has made a provision of Rs 8 thousand crore in the budget to provide houses to the poor families.
Along with this, special arrangements have been made in the budget to pay the interest on the loans of the defaulter farmers. The process of recruitment on one lakh 24 thousand government posts is in progress. Under the Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, one lakh youth are being linked with various enterprises. Along with this, Mukhyamantri Kaushal Apprenticeship Yojana is being launched to provide opportunity to the youth to earn while learning, in which the youth will be linked to factories and institutions to learn various skills. Rs one lakh will be made available to the selected youth.Irrigation projects will prove to be a boon for Sheopur
Chouhan said that instructions will be issued soon for the necessary survey for arrangements to irrigate four districts by constructing 6 dams on the Kuno river.
He said along with this, efforts will be made to include villages left out of irrigation facility under Chambal Micro Irrigation Scheme. Dedication of Chambal Micro Irrigation Scheme and construction of Munjhari Dam will prove to be a boon for Sheopur.
Sheopur gets international recognition due to CM Chouhan, MoS Kushwaha.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture and Food Processing Bharat Singh Kushwaha said that Sheopur has got international recognition due to the efforts of Chief Minister Chouhan.
The successful rehabilitation of cheetahs is an important achievement of the state government.
